Paid-in-45: MSME late-payment interest calculator
Paid-in-45 calculates statutory due dates and interest from the details you enter and prepares documents for you to review and send. It isn't a law firm and doesn't give legal advice or represent you.
The calculation runs in your browser. Nothing you type into the calculator is sent or stored.
Interest rate used: three times the RBI bank rate of 5.75% (as of 2026-11-02, source: RBI), that is 17.25% a year, compounded monthly.
Estimate: part months pro rata; a council may calculate differently.
Prepared from your inputs. Check the facts. For a dispute, consult an advocate.
How the due date is worked out
- With a written agreement: the agreed payment date, but never more than 45 days after acceptance.
- Without a written agreement, or with a written agreement but no date entered: 15 days after acceptance.
- Interest starts the day immediately after the due date and runs to the date paid. It compounds monthly at the annual rate divided by 12 for each completed month, pro rata for a part month.
- If the Udyam registration date is after the supply date, the supply is shown as not covered and no interest is calculated.
